Steve and I are off to Lake George to spend time with mom and dad for Father’s Day, but I’m squeezing in a moment to post this reminder:

Hudson River Stitch & Spin 2009 Saturday, June 27th from 12-5 p.m. Dutchman’s Landing Park, Catskill NY 12414

Knitters, crocheters and spinners… all are welcome! The event is free to the public, with donations accepted on behalf of the park restoration fund. This is one event you don’t want to miss if you’re within driving distance. Deep-fried Oreos, spinning and stitching under the shade of a giant Maple tree, the brilliant Hudson River sparkling in the sun… what’s not to love?

This event is rain or shine and I have reserved the gazebo in case of inclement weather. Please bring your own lawn chair or picnic blanket. While purchased food is available, you could also consider bringing a picnic basket.

I hope to see all the usual smiling faces there and then some! Bring a friend and make a day of it, just be ready to laugh so hard your face hurts.

Wish I could make it. I am getting back from a biz trip late on Friday night so I will be too pooped to drive on Saturday. Plus gotta spend time with the kid dog & huzbeast after days being away.
Hope the sun shines on you all!

Darn it! I hope I can make it for a bit. Later today Uncle John, his wife, and their brooha of children (8) are arriving from MI and camping out in the front yard of grandma’s trailer park for the night.Lol…wow it sounds so crazy when I type it out like that. Any how it’s just a short stay, just the one night and then lunch on Sat somewhere (which is the part I’m trying to get out of). It’s the big good bye to family as one of the older daughters is attending the coast guard academy in a few short weeks – so they are stopping all along the way before dropping her off.
